Were these long range prophecies? I guess it’s all relative but, Zechariah lived around 500 years before Jesus was born. Isaiah, Micah and Hosea were around 700 or more years whilst the Psalms were telling us details about Jesus some 1000 years ahead of His arrival

Just for Fun

I saw this snippet whilst looking for something else …….

There are over 300 prophecies that point directly to the Messiah. Let’s start with eight and the odds of Jesus fulfilling just these eight.

  1. The time of His birth (see the Daniel 8 & 9 Timeline)
  2. He would be born in Bethlehem.  (Micah 5:2)
  3. He would be born of a virgin.  (Isaiah 7:14)
  4. He would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver.  (Zechariah 11:12)
  5. He would be mocked.  (Psalm 22:7,8)
  6. He would be crucified.  (John 3:14)
  7. He would be pierced.  (Psalms 22:16)
  8. He would die with the wicked, but He would be buried with the rich.  (Isaiah 53:9)

The chance of one man who has lived in the time from these prophecies until now, fulfilling all these 8 prophecies is  1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 [18 zeroes]

B..U..T ……… there are at least 365 prophecies about the Messiah that were fulfilled in Jesus!!!! See https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2020/7/20/jesus-fulfilled-over-300-prophecies
